Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold is proudly brewed with 100% renewable electricity from solar power.
We're taking this significant step in order to empower our commitments to renewable electricity and make our beer more sustainable than ever.
Anheuser-Busch has purchased more than enough renewable solar electricity to power the brewing process of our Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold in the U.S. - from the moment the organic barley reaches the brewery through the fermentation of our delicious USDA certified organic beer.
Electricity is just one source of energy used in our brewing process, and solar RECs will help to offset the electricity used to brew our beer.
When our solar field in Pecos County Texas is fully operational in 2021, all RECs applied to the electricity used to brew Pure Gold will come via renewable electricity from this field.

To celebrate our commitment to renewable solar electricity, we partnered with global superstar Maluma who released a song featuring the sound of The Sun (yes, The Sun makes a sound). Together, we built a film using this song, which shows Maluma's perfect day in The Sun. Take a look at our collaboration below!
